Note: Inputs from TPS input (CMC1:G2) was completely discarded in MTune versions before 1.108 (when E-Throttle was activated). In newer versions, the TPS analog input wire can be used as "other 0-5v functions".
When E-Throttle is activated in MaxxECU, the RealTime Data value: TPS is actually the pedal position.
Pedal position sensor voltage
Main pedal closed voltage
Voltage input (main) from pedal when pedal is "closed".
main pedal open voltage
Voltage input (main) from pedal when pedal is "open".
backup pedal closed voltage
Voltage input(backup) from pedal when pedal is "closed".
backup pedal open voltage
Voltage input(backup) from pedal when pedal is "open".
Backup/error checking
Allowed error
The max allowed error between main and backup position allowed. Check RealTime Data value: E-Throttle --> Pedal position sensor error.
Backup sensor output type
•Linear - When both main and backup signal are linear in relation to each other.
•Nonlinear(table) - When the main and backup signal are not linear in relation to each other and requires a custom table.
Allowed voltage error
How much the main och backup pedal voltage is allowed to deviate outside of the defined min/max voltage range.
If the voltages gets outside this set threshold, the ECU assumes there's a wiring or sensor fault and sets an error code and activates the safety shutdown system.
All E-pedals connected to MaxxECU must be calibrated.
Calibrations are made in E-Throttle --> Pedal position.
Note: Remember, motor outputs needs to be activated in outputs to actually show the E-Throttle settings page!
Sample data from e-pedal after calibration.
The E-Throttle shows positions and voltages for troubleshooting. RealTime Data tab in MTune in offline mode. Use for troubleshooting.
