•Make sure the USB cable is properly inserted in both ends.
•Try to change USB-port on your computer.
•Windows only...
•Does Windows recognizes a MaxxECU device in control panel, device manager?
•Is MTune and its driver installed correctly?
•Check power source, measure +12V and ground to the MaxxECU and make sure it's powered correctly.
•Output(s) are not activated as ignition outputs, an output will never work if not enabled. Outputs --> Output config.
•For ignition to spark during cranking, a stable RPM must be achieved.
•Make sure coils do have built-in amplifiers, MaxxECU does not have them built-in due to the risk of interference.
•Use the built-in test feature in Diagnostics --> Output test to make sure there is no electrical or mechanical issues with coils.
•Output(s) not activated as injector output, an output will never work if not enabled. Outputs --> Output config.
•For injection to open during cranking, a stable RPM must be achieved.
•Use the built-in test feature in Diagnostics --> Output test to make sure the injectors open during test.
•Output(s) not activated, an output will never work if not enabled. Outputs --> Output config.
•Double check electrical wiring diagram, due to the different electrical property of different MaxxECU units, some outputs is LOW (GND) or high (+12v) outputs.
•Use the test button feature on the output to test the output.
•Double check your electrical wiring.
•GPO connected to lambda heater, make sure it is activated as internal lambda heater 1/2.
•Inputs --> Lambda sensor is set as Internal Wideband Controller (if using the internal controller of course).
•Check ignition timing with a timing light.
•Cylinder order of injectors and ignitions(INJ1/IGN1 --> Cylinder 1, INJ2/IGN2 --> Cylinder 2, INJ3/IGN3 --> Cylinder 3 and so on).
•Correct firing order in Configuration --> Engine settings.
•Test ignition coils/injectors by using the built-in test features, Diagnostics --> Output test.
•The ignition in sequential mode can be 360 degree off, adjust the Cam signal position under Inputs -> Trigger / Home inputs, Triggerdecoder.
See, Trigger problems.
•Make sure all outputs are activated.
•Make sure a test feature is not activated. Configuration -> Engine settings, Testing: Disabled fuel and ignition = NO.
•Use the built-in test features on ignition and injectors and make sure of ignition spark and fuel flow.
•Check ignition timing with a timing light.
•Check lambda readings during crank, if still showing 1.7 during a few seconds of cranking, engine does not get any fuel.
