1 - Cable harness between the MaxxECU and the 8HP gearbox

MaxxECU 8HP cable harness MaxxECU 8HP (GEN1) cable harness (Dodge shifter), product ID 2283 or MaxxECU 8HP (GEN1) cable harness (BMW 8HP shifter), product ID 2287.

Note: We only support our 8HP cable harnesses, yes they are easily made yourself, BUT it is the only thing money wise we get back on all the countless hours of developing this, so please support us.

 

 

2 - GEN1 8HP gearbox

The 8HP control is not yet released, we are currently in BETA stage, but will be included in the next MTune 1.150 update in april 2024. Please be patient. Info pages are not yet completed and will be updated.

3 - Shifter options

Currently, MaxxECU supports the 8HP Dodge, 8HP BMW and the 8HP shifter emulation feature as the shifter for MaxxECU 8HP control.

Dodge 8HP shifter is directly supported with the MaxxECU 8HP (GEN1) cable harness (Dodge shifter), product ID 2283 cable harness.

The 8HP BMW shifter are directly supported using the MaxxECU 8HP (GEN1) cable harness (BMW 8HP shifter), product ID 2287.

Using the 8HP shifter emulation feature, any supported keypad can be used instead of a real shifter.

4 - Paddle shifters.

Paddle shifters from example Mercedes, part number A 171 267 00 46. Or any other paddle shifters (or buttons on the steering wheel) that "closes" the circuit when pressed and wired directly to the MaxxECU.

Note: Paddle inputs are required for the 8HP transbrake feature.
